The vertical 5-axis machining center is a high-precision and high-efficiency CNC machining equipment. Based on a vertical spindle layout and paired with dual rotary axes (commonly table rotation/swinging or spindle head swinging/rotation), it enables 5-axis simultaneous machining of workpieces.
It can complete multiple processes such as milling, drilling and boring of complex curved surfaces and special-shaped parts in a single clamping, greatly reducing clamping errors and improving machining precision. Compared with 3-axis equipment, it has a wider machining range and is especially suitable for processing complex parts in fields such as aerospace, mold manufacturing and auto parts production. The equipment features a high degree of integration and can realize automated machining with the support of a CNC system, shortening the production cycle. However, it has a relatively high cost and imposes more stringent requirements on operation and maintenance.
